Weekly newspaper reach in Canada 2019-2022 by platform
A report on newspaper consumption in Canada showed that 48 percent of Canadians over the age of 18 read a print newspaper at least once a week in December 2022, up by nine percent from December of the previous year. It is important to note that the November 2020 survey took place during the COVID-19 pandemic and as such these results are not directly comparable to figures from 2019, though what is clear is that desktops, laptops, and smartphones remain the most popular option for weekly newspaper access.
