The motor vehicle production volume in India in the year 2022 was approximately 5.5 million, an increase from 4.4 million in 2021. A significant decrease could be observed in 2020, mostly due to the impact of new emission standards and the coronavirus pandemic. The number of motor vehicles manufactured in India has been on a positive trajectory with fluctuation.
