The world's largest fintech deal in 2022 was the payment platform Square acquiring Australian-based Afterpay, an M&A deal with a value of 27.9 billion U.S. dollars. In 2023, the M&A deal with Black Knight was the largest fintech deal, with a deal value of 11.7 billion U.S. dollars. Eight out of the 10 largest fintech deals of 2023 were registered in the United States.
