Phased-in CET 1 ratio of ABN AMRO 2014-2023
The phased-in Common Equity Tier 1 (CET 1) ratio of ABN AMRO Group increased overall between 2014 and 2023. In 2023, the ratio reached a value of approximately 14.3 percent. This is a decrease when compared to the previous year. In the Netherlands, a few large institutions dominate its financial markets. In 2021, for example, the five largest Dutch credit institutions, which includes ING, Rabobank and ABN AMRO, held approximately 85 percent of the total assets. Secondly, the Dutch banking sector is one of the most concentrated in Europe.
