Nordic countries: tourism environment rating 2021

All four studied Nordic countries in the 2021 Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI) obtained a score above six in the pillar that measured their information and communication technology readiness. In the safety and security aspect, only Sweden got a TTDI score below six that year. The five variables listed in the graph measure the enabling environment for tourism.

-Safety and security "measures the extend to which a country exposes locals, tourists, and businesses to security risks."
-Health and hygiene "measures healthcare infrastructure, accessibility, and health security."
-Human resources and labor market "measures the availability of quality employees and the dynamism, efficiency, and productivity of the labor market." -Business environment "captures the extend to which a country's policy environment is conductive to companies doing business."
