Use of mobile phones for calling while driving in India - by city 2017
This statistic represents the results of a survey in 2017 across eight cities in India about the use of mobile phones among drivers, based on city. During the survey period, about 83 percent of respondents in the southern city of Bengaluru said they use their mobile phones for calling while driving. This share dropped to 14 percent of respondents in the north-western city of Jaipur, where the most share of drivers, about 86 percent never used their phones for calling while driving.
