Impact of social media networks on social isolation in Italy 2015, by age
This statistic illustrates the opinion of Italian social media users between 18 and older in 2015 on the impact of social networks on social isolation, by age group. According to data, the share of respondents who thought that social media had a negative impact on people's social life (45.5 percent) was similar to that of respondents holding the opposite opinion (43.7 percent). Middle-aged users were the most optimistic age group: one in two respondents aged between 45 and 64 believed that social media helped reducing social isolation.
