The brand strength index is based on Millward Brown's BrandZ analysis and reflects three factors: brand contribution (the brand's influence on the purchasing decision process), the premium factor (consumers' predisposition to pay more for brands) and the power factor (consumers' predisposition to buy more).
The selection criteria for including brands in the ranking were: the brand must be owned by a public company; the company must report positive results; and the brand must be characterized as a Brazilian brand (originating in Brazil or having a significant proportion of its business located in the region).
