Quarterly number of banknotes withdrawals from Bank of Italy Q1 2015-Q2 2020
This statistic gives information on the quarterly number of withdrawals of banknotes at the Bank of Italy in Italy between the first quarter of 2015 and the second quarter of 2020. A glance at the graph reveals a pattern: the banknotes withdrawals from the Bank of Italy increase during the course of the year and peak in last quarter. For example, in the first quarter of 2019, approximately 560 million banknotes were withdrawn. In the second and third quarter of the year, the number increased to 645 and 682 million banknotes, respectively. Finally, in the last quarter, the number of banknotes withdrawn peaked at approximately 754 million. As of the second quarter of 2020, approximately 587 banknotes were withdrawn.
