Most valuable brands in Belgium 2019
The bank KBC was the most valuable Belgian brand in 2018, with a value of roughly 4.4 million U.S. dollars. This was significantly higher than the value of the two runners-up, BDO International (provider of business services) and AB InBev (beverages manufacturer), which were valued at 2.9 and 2.8 million dollars respectively. In 2018, KBC had a net profit of roughly 2.5 billion euros.

Three banks of Dutch origin register higher net profit

Although KBC was the most valuable brand in Belgium, several other banks registered a higher net profit in 2017. ING, ABN Amro and Rabobank, all of Dutch origin, each had a net profit exceeding that of KBC in Belgium in 2017. ING’s net profit for example was nearly double that of KBC, at nearly five billion euros.

 Bank branches in Belgium

KBC was not the leading bank in terms of bank branches either. BNP Paribas Fortis, a subsidiary of French BNP Paribas, had over 770 bank branches in Belgium in 2018, whereas the number of KBC branches was 713. With 713 offices, KBC was still the second largest bank in Belgium though.
