From 2013 to 2018, gin consumption in the U.S. showed a steady decline: While in 2013, 10.6 million 9-liter cases of gin were consumed in the United States, this figure decreased continuously over the next few years, and in 2018, the amount of gin consumed by U.S. consumers amounted to a total of 9.9 million of 9-liter cases.
The major part of the American respondents between 18 and 64 who drank gin in the past 3 months as of 2018 belonged to the younger age group of 18 to 29 years while middle-aged consumers ranked second on this list. When it comes to the most popular days of the week to drink gin, most U.S. consumers prefer the weekend.
