Hydropower consumption for electricity production in France 2005-2021
In 2021, the final consumption of hydropower for electricity production in France exceeded 5.1 million metric tons of oil equivalent. This figure increased compared to the beginning of the period under consideration, when it amounted to only 4.5 million metric tons of oil equivalent. However, the consumption of hydropower for electricity generation has been approximately constant since 2018.
