This statistic displays the number of Norwegian TV stations in selected years from 1980 to 2015, by type of coverage. As of 1980, there was only one national TV station in Norway. The number increased during the period under consideration, reaching 25 television channels with national coverage in 2015. In comparison, there were only 8 local stations in the Nordic country, down from 70 channels as of 1990.
