Italy: total amount of euro banknotes issued 2011-2015
The statistic illustrates the number of euro banknotes of all denominations put into circulation in Italy from 2011 to 2015. This includes all five, ten, twenty, fifty, one hundred, two hundred and five hundred notes. Over the period of consideration, the highest amount of banknotes put into circulation by the Bank of Italy was registered in 2013 (roughly 2.77 billion notes). As of 2015, around 2.6 billion notes were introduced.
