This statistic displays the share of adults in the United Kingdom (UK) had an overdraft as of October 2017 or prior 12 months, listed by household income. It was found that households with a higher income were more likely to have an overdraft in the United Kingdom (UK). In 2017, 29 percent of adults with annual income of above 50 thousand British pounds had an overdraft. At the same time, 13 percent of adults with a household income of under 15 thousand British pounds had an overdraft.
