The number of Tesla vehicles produced worldwide was ramped up in 2018: the manufacturer built 61,394 Model 3 vehicles in the fourth quarter, compared to 25,161 Model S and X vehicles. The Model 3 was ranked as the best-selling mid-size luxury car in the United States in 2018, and only the Cadillac Escalade sold more vehicles in the large luxury car and SUV category.Tesla’s home-field advantage
Tesla delivered around 245,000 vehicles in total in 2018, almost as many as all prior years combined. As a result, the company’s revenue grew to almost 21.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2018, with around 70 percent of that being generated in the United States.
