Annualized premiums of new individual life insurance policies in Japan FY 2013-2022
In the fiscal year 2022, the value of annualized premiums on new individual life insurance policies in Japan amounted to approximately 1.76 trillion Japanese yen. The value increased from 1.52 trillion yen in the previous fiscal year. The annualized premium is the amount of premium income which a life insurer would receive in one year, under the assumption that the premium is equally divided and paid throughout the entire contract period.
