Vehicle fleet size in Mexico by type and use 2022
The motor vehicle fleet size in Mexico added up to nearly 55.2 million units in 2022, out of which just under 36.5 million were cars. That year, approximately 98 percent of cars registered in the country were for private use. Meanwhile, out of the 468,600 buses in Mexico, 39.4 percent were for public use.
