This statistic shows the average expenditure of Dutch households when doing grocery shopping in Germany and Belgium as of 2017, by place of residence. As of 2017, households doing their groceries abroad and living in the area bordering Germany (defined as up to 30 km from the border) spent roughly 36 euros per visit. Households living in the area bordering Belgium spent slightly less per visit, at nearly 35 euros.
