Startups financed by the Japanese government FY 2013-2022
In the fiscal year 2022, approximately 25.5 thousand startups in Japan received loans from the Japan Finance Corporation (JFC) prior to or within one year of starting the business. The value of loans to startups granted by JFC decreased in the same year. The Japan Finance Corporation is a public financial institution that is owned by the Japanese government. Among other activities, the JFC provides loans to micro-businesses, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and start-ups.
