Europe: VC investments value by stage 2022

In Europe, between 2016 and 2020 period, it can be seen that the majority of venture capital (VC) investments were made during the start-up stage. In 2020, 6.5 billion euros worth of investment were made in the start-up stage, whilst only one billion euros worth of investments were made during the seed stage. In 2021 and 2022, however, the most of the VC investments were in the later-stage venture. All stages of funding saw an increase between 2017 and 2022.
