Netherlands: most popular book genres among children 2017

The statistic displays the results of a survey concerning the most popular book genres among children in the Netherlands in 2017. The survey results indicated that as of 2017, the most popular genres among children capable of reading by themselves in the Netherlands were thrillers, comics and adventure books. 35 percent of respondents indicated that their child like to read thrillers, whereas less than ten percent of children preferred history books and real-life stories.
