This statistic displays the result of a 2017 survey that asked hospital doctors and nurses in Europe if, over the last 12 months, their work had affected their mental health. In seven of the countries surveyed, at least 50 percent of doctors and nurses responded that their work had negatively affected their mental health in the preceding year. In Sweden 68 percent of doctors and nurses believed their work had had a negative impact on their mental health, which is the highest of the countries surveyed.
