As of March 31, 2023, Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line) was the leading maritime shipping company in Japan, with assets worth approximately 3.78 trillion Japanese yen. The company also leads the sales ranking. In Japan, NYK Line, Mitsubishi O.S.K, and 'K' Line are referred to as 'The Big Three’ maritime transport companies. 'The Big Three' own the container shipper Ocean Network Express (ONE).
