Sweden: people favoring the EU, by origin 2008-2018

From 2008 to 2018, people who were raised outside of Sweden had a more positive attitude towards the European Union than people raised in Sweden. During this period, the share of Swedish residents having a very or rather positive attitude toward the EU fluctuated. In 2018, the share of people considering the EU to be favorable was highest among those that were raised outside of Sweden, with 57 percent. People that grew up in Sweden were slightly less positive towards the EU, with a share of 54 percent.
