Hypermarkets are shops which have an area over 6,000 square meters, including 72 well-known hypermarkets retailers, with a total market share of 83 percent (based on 2018 figures).
Supermarkets/mini-markets are shops which have an area of 100 to 6,000 square meters.
Convenience stores are chains or independent stores which operate longer than 16 hours a day.
General stores are shops which have an area less than 100 square meters.
Others include department stores, free markets, wholesale stores, direct sales stores, specialty stores, etc.
