Parkinson's disease patient quality of life changes in the U.S. in 2018
This statistic displays the percentage of U.S. individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD) that experienced select changes in their quality of life as of 2018. According to the survey, 69 percent of PD patients experienced feeling they were losing hope with their condition. Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder that affects the nerve cells in the brain that produce dopamine. This causes muscle issues, tremors, speech changes, etc. There is currently no cure for Parkinson's disease.
