This graph shows the mobile internet penetration in Latin America as of January 2019, by region. As of that month, South America presented a mobile connectivity rate of 109 percent, as users had multiple mobile subscriptions. Meanwhile, Central America had a penetration of 96 percent and the Caribbean 73 percent.

In 2017, Nicaragua and Costa Rica were the two Central American countries with the largest mobile internet penetration rate per 100 inhabitants.
