This statistic shows the leading reasons not to do sports in the Netherlands in 2017 and 2018. As of 2018, nearly half of the respondents indicated that a physical issue or disability was the reason not to do sports, whereas 40 percent of the respondents said not to have motivation to do so. This is an increase compared to the previous year, when the lack of motivation amounted to approximately 35 percent.
