This statistic presents the percentage of internet users in the United States who have experienced selected forms of digital harassment or abuse as of July 2016, sorted by perpetrator type. According to the findings, three percent of respondents reported that they were called offensive name online by either a current or former romantic partner, while in comparison seven percent of respondents stated similar responses, however, stating that they did not know who the perpetrator was personally.
