Proved oil reserves in Canada 2021, by type
The vast majority of proved reserves in Canada is held in the form of oil sands. As of the end of 2021, there were proved reserves of some 130 billion barrels in the form of in situ oil sands. Conventional crude reserves were found to be less than five billion barrels.
