Italy: change in production value of gas and water suppliers 2015-2017

Among the leading companies operating in the sector of water and gas supply as well as in the distribution of gaseous fuel, EDISON S.p.A. was the fastest growing company in terms of production value. According to the data provided by Prometeia, the production value of EDISON S.p.A. grew by 19.3 percent between 2015 and 2017. Similarly, HERA TRADING S.R.L. and HERA COMM S.R.L., both belonging to the same group, increased the value of their output by 14.4 and 13.8 percent, respectively. On the contrary, ENGIE ITALIA S.p.A. ranked fourth, being the only company among the major players of the sector, whose production value decreased over the period of consideration.
