Supplementary notes

* Liver cancer is a disease caused by the proliferation of malignant cells in the tissues of the liver. When the cells lining the bile ducts turn into malignant tumours, we are dealing with cancer of the intrahepatic bile ducts. This type of cancer is more frequent in men than in women, especially after the age of 60.
