Organ donor rate in Latin America 2020, by country
In 2020, Uruguay was the nation with the highest donation rate among selected Latin American countries. That year, the South American state reported a rate of 18 organ donors per million population. Brazil ranked second, with 14.2 donors per million inhabitants. Meanwhile, Paraguay and Peru had the lowest donation rates in the region that year, with less than one donor per million people.
