One hundred year study on artificial intelligence
This report is the first in a planned series of studies that are intended to continue for a hundred years, pursuing a long-term investigation of the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and its influence on people, their communities, and society. It explores the science, engineering, and deployment of AI-enabled computing systems. In this report, the study attempts to define AI as it is currently understood and explore some of the current and predicted impacts that AI will have on various domains, such as transportation, healthcare, low-resource communities, and the workplace. The report ends with recommendations for AI policy, now and in the future.
