Facts and Figures on the development of the green economy's growth in U.S.

This report shows the national production of green products and services. To explain, a product or service was considered “green” based on whether it conserves energy and other natural resources or reduces pollution. ESA analysts applied this definition to over 22,000 product codes from the 2007 Economic Census to estimate the share of green products and services in the U. S. economy. The data covers most of the U.S. private sector economy. It serves as a starting point for measuring future progress.
