This statistic reveals the proportion of women who have ever practiced sodomy at least once in their lifetime, in France between 1970 and 2021. Thus, it shows that the practice of sodomy among women increased over the decades. In 1970, only one out of ten women declared that they already had anal sex. In 2021, more than 50 percent of French women surveyed declared that they have already practiced sodomy.

1992: Ipsos study for ANRS and INED conducted by telephone between September 1991 and February 1992 among 20,055 people, constituting a random sample of the population aged 18 to 69 residing in metropolitan France.
