Average monthly amount spent on makeup products in Japan 2023, by gender
The largest share of women in Japan spent less than two thousand Japanese yen per month on makeup as revealed in a survey conducted in August 2023. While 76.5 percent of male respondents stated that they did not buy any beauty cosmetics, the share was significantly smaller among women.
