Japan: full-time employee labor shortages among businesses by industry 2023

In a survey conducted among private business enterprises in Japan, approximately 62 percent of companies belonging to the medical, health care, and welfare industry reported a shortage of regular full-time employees as of November 2023. Construction followed closely at around 61 percent.
