Total investment life and non-life insurance UK

The United Kingdom (UK) is undoubtedly one of Europe's largest insurance markets. In the fourth quarter of 2020 alone, the life insurance sector registered over 740 billion euros in investment (other than assets held for index-linked and unit-linked contracts), while the non-life sector saw almost 70 billion euros. This includes property other than for own use, holdings in related undertakings, such as participations, equities, bonds, collective investment undertakings, derivatives, deposits, cash investments and other investments. The total investment volume of the sector remained around one trillion euros throughout 2019 and 2020.
