Number of discrimination and xenophobia in France by type 2021

In 2021, the PHAROS platform received 15,102 complaints of xenophobic and discriminatory reports. Of these, the main categories were public provocation of hatred and racial, ethnic, or religious discrimination, with over eight thousand reports. The number of xenophobic comments decreased by more than six thousand reports between 2020 and 2021.

* The PHAROS ("Plateforme d’Harmonisation, d’Analyse, de Recoupement et d’Orientation") platform is a platform for Harmonizing, Analysing, Crosschecking and Orientating reports from the Central Office for Combating Related Crime information and communication technologies (OCLCTIC / SDLC). It collects reports of illegal content and behavior on the Internet and their judicial processing. It comprises 28 investigators, supervised by 2 officers.
