Emigration from Sweden 2011-2022, by citizenship

From 2014 to 2020, there were more people with a foreign citizenship than people with a Swedish citizenship emigrating from Sweden. However, in 2021, there were more Swedish citizens emigrating, a trend that continued in 2022. That year, almost 30,000 Swedes emigrated, compared to 20,700 foreign citizens. A total of over 50,000 people emigrated from Sweden in 2022.
