HS2: public opinion on the UK’s high-speed rail project 2021
In November 2021, close to one fifth of survey respondents stated that they strongly opposed the UK’s HS2 high-speed rail project, while only eight percent were strongly in favor of it. Added together, the total percentage of negative responses from respondents lay at 33 percent; 38 percent provided neutral responses, such as ‘Don't know’ or ‘Neither support or oppose’.
