Second-hand clothing, home textiles and footwear items collected in France 2009-2020
Today, used clothing, home textiles and footwear items are collected through four main collection methods: containers, donations to non-profit organizations, in-store drop-offs and punctual collections. Between 2009 and 2020, the amount of items collected generally increased in France. In 2014, 175,000 tons of used clothing, home textiles and footwear items were collected, compared to almost 205,000 tons six years later.
