In 2021, the volume of arriving vessels at the Port of Yokohama amounted to approximately 270 million gross tonnage, higher than at any other port in Japan.Located in the Keihin region, the Port of Yokohama, the Port of Tokyo, and the Port of Kawasaki - commonly called the three 'Keihin Ports' - are classified by law for their significance as 'International Strategy Ports'. Despite their familiar appellation, the 'Keihin Ports' are operated separately by different corporations.
