GDP by motion pictures, sound and music production in Nigeria 2019-2021
In 2021, Nigeria's GDP amounted to around 173.5 trillion Naira, over 407 billion U.S. dollars. About 0.8 percent of GDP was generated by the industry of motion pictures, sound recording, and music production. In absolute figures, this added up to roughly 1.3 trillion Naira, approximately three billion U.S. dollars. Nigeria has a large film industry, called Nollywood, which releases the largest number of movie titles in English-speaking countries in Africa.
