U.S. climate change importance 2023, by party

In a survey of U.S. adults in July 2023, around 73 percent of Democratic respondents in the U.S. considered climate change and the environment very important, with an additional 23 percent considering it somewhat important. In stark contrast, only 16 percent of Republican respondents considered climate change and the environment to be very important.
