Finnair: SAF consumption by purchaser 2021-2022
In 2022, Finnair purchased and consumed 595 mass tons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), while its customers bought 629 mass tons of SAF. According to Finnair's "book and claim" principle for flight ticket purchases, sustainable aviation fuel is bought and utilized, even when not physically delivered to or loaded onto a specific aircraft or flight.
