Preferred type of video streaming and TV subscriptions in the U.S. 2023, by ethnicity
According to a survey conducted in 2023, ad-free streaming services were the most preferred type of streaming and TV subscriptions in the U.S. among most of the ethnic groups, except for Asians. For example, half of Hispanics paid for video streaming services with no ads, while this was the case for 43 percent of white Americans. By comparison, ad-based streaming was the most used type of video subscriptions for Asians, with 38 percent of respondents paying for them.
