In 2021, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from energy use in the agricultural sector in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to over 71 thousand kilotons. Emissions from petroleum made up the largest portion, with about 54.6 thousand kilotons, followed by emissions from electricity, with about 13.2 thousand kilotons.
